Animation and networking edition 2015

There will be a series of complementary entertainment and animation activities and children’s shows.

DESCRIPTION: There will be two chestnut sellers throughout the day to help celebrate the traditional Catalan holiday on the 31st of October. Find out more about this tradition!

DESCRIPTION: Let yourself get wrapped up in the spirit of Halloween. Make your own mask or paint your face and become your favorite character or horrific monster for a day.

DESCRIPTION: Animated telling of The Fox and the Crow, Jean de la Fontainte’s version of Aesop’s traditional fable warning against vanity and flattery.

MUSICAL PERFORMANCE: “BARCELONA CORAL ÀSIA”
LENGTH: 30 minutes

DESCRIPTION: Barcelona Coral Àsia is a project promoted by Casa Àsia with the Barcelona City Council to foster multiculturalism though music and singing. Made up of 40 singers of more than 20 different nationalities (60% are from Asia), the choir sings in Asian languages that reflect the city’s cultural and linguistic diversity.

NETWORKING ACTIVITY “NETWORK AND MAKE CONTACTS” Sponsored by Banc Sabadell

DESCRIPTION: Networking event led by Getting Contacts where participants can meet and speak with people interested in 4 topics: “Landing in Barcelona”, Doing business in Barcelona”, “Female Entrepreneurs” and “Sports and Leisure Activities in Barcelona”. Those interested can sign up ahead of time or at the entrance to I’m Barcelonian, International Community Day. Get your sticker to participate!

MUSICAL FINALE: DIXIE BAND TALLER DE MUSICS
LENGTH: 30 minutes

DESCRIPTION: This young band will bring the festivities to a close with a performance of traditional jazz songs. Everyone, no matter their origin, age or condition, will find themselves attracted and energized by the joyful, colorful Dixieland beats. The six members of the group, nearly all from the renowned Sant Andreu Jazz Band, will play a dynamic selection featuring a wide range of popular jazz songs from the early 20th century in the United States.
